Work Report Information

Work Details:

Date of Visit:  06/08/2010
Trail Section:  Middle Fork
Adoption Section:  MF2 - Hwy DD to CR 72
Work Completed:  Lopped both low and very high branches that were beginning to encroached on the trail. Weed wacked much vegetation on either side ot trail and very little on the trail. Remove a few rocks on trail that might trip hikers.
Sawyer Needs: Bow-sawed one tree across trail and removed it. There is just one tree that might need sawing. It is leaning across the trail and is being held up by another tree, but it doesn\'t look secure. Tree is not in the way of hikers or horse back riders. Ed Kindley says it might fall by itself and if it fell on a person, it would be bad. GPS location is 37d 41.188\' N and 90d 59.115\' W; this is closest to County Road 72 and is at edge of steam bed.
Special Needs: None
General Comments: Trail was in excellent condition and work done was preventative, except for the one small fallen tree that was cut and removed. Saw hiker who thanked us for our work. Saw many horse tracks and many bicycle tracks.
