General trail maintenance. Removed lots of deadfall and cut through downed trees.
Sawyer Needs:
Please see the map. (1) Single leaner tree just north of Snapps Branch, not impacting trail passage at this time. (2) Two downed trees just off FS 2514, the northern tree is downed in a creek bed. (3) Two downed and a single overhead tree just south of the HWY-8 Trailhead, but before Lost Creek.
Special Needs:
The trail is in great shape for mid-summer.
General Comments:
Ed Walch (C12) and myself started at Hazel Creek Campground and maintained, trail ran the OT all the way to Berryman Campground. All sections in-between are passable and sawyer work has been noted. A few signs of horse travel and we did see the US Forest Service tractor resting at Lost Creek. Looking forward to this fall.
