Join the OTA for the annual Fall extravaganza in Winona.
Stay a day or the whole week. We start each day at 8:30 am.
We’ll be sprucing up the southern sections of the OT and getting them ready for the new hiking season.
We’ll do some more GAOA tread work and clear more brush and downed trees.
The USFS houses in Winona will be our base so you’ll have bathrooms, limited indoor beds and full kitchen where we can make meals and store food. Camping is also available on the grounds.
Motel 60 is just down the road if you prefer more comfortable private lodging.
We’ll have more details about where we will be working a couple weeks before the event.
Bring Sturdy work shoes ( hiking boots), long pants and be prepared for changeable fall weather.
We’ll provide the gloves, safety glasses, helmets and tools.
We are still being covid cautious so if you have been exposed to covid,
been in a doctor’s office or hospital in the last 14 days prior to the event or
you have symptoms consistent with covid please do not come out.
The OTA will provide some dinners and a breakfast or 2.
Bring Your own meals for each day you are there and at least 2 liters of water per day.
Fresh water is available at the house.
Contact Terry Hawn if you need more information.
