This event is cancelled due to weather.

Much of the Taum Sauk section between Taum Sauk Mountain and Johnson Shut-ins is badly grown in, especially toward the midpoint. The trail needs serious lopping. This is the route of the Devil’s Toll Race on October 5th.

The trail is rugged, and the hiking required for this event will be more challenging than most. We will be hiking in from Taum Sauk Mountain at least 4 miles, and of course we must hike back out. Hiking out will involve 700 feet of ascent, some of it quite steep.
