I’d love to get involved with this. I’m a young 65 year old backpacking gal that will hike anywhere. What kind of work is involved in this? I’m not a member yet, but probably should be now that I’ve discovered you. Are tools required or will they be provided? I can rake, hoe, clean out weeds, etc.

We have camping sites reserved at the Greer Springs campground. There will be an email to all
who have signed up next week with more logistic details.

Folks can come in on Friday after noon and setup camp — and get to know others who come in. There will be
      a campfire for the group.

We will all gather in the day se parking lot and equipment such as helmets, gloves and safety glasses will be
available for all who need it .. we are in USFS land so personal safety gear is mandatory.
The Group will be divided into the various work teams with team ? Crew leaders who will have
team number on their red helmets with their names prominently displayed.

We’ll car pool over to the work area as parking over there is limited.

We’ll work until 2:30-3pm or so and head back to a prepared dinner, bonfire and traditional fun around the bonfire.

Folks are welcome to stay over until Sunday ad either hike, float or just enjoy. We don’t typically wok on Sunday.

Once at the work site we’ll have tools cached allready by team. The team leaders will do safety talks and show anyone
who needs it how we use the various tools in building trail.

We’d love to have you as a member but it isn’t required to come out and spend the day helping build trail.

It is fairly hard work .. so we will emphasize safety first and we never ask volunteers to do more tan they can comfortably
do. In fact — we encorage frequent breaks.. drink lots of fluids .. At least to liters of water and ack a lunch. We’ll ave fluids
      available as well.

Be on the lookout doe more emails with additional information.

don’t hesitate to ask for additional info once the next email comes out.
but you will need to be signed up on the event to receive that email.

Even if you sign up – there is no obligation that you come out .. nut we do hope you do.

      It’s fund and very gratifying

    Hi
I am female 32, full of energy and excited to help.
Never helped building a trail before, is that bad? But I would like to join.
I live 1 hour away from the Greer Campground, I am not sure yet if I would stay at the campground or go back home every day.
What time on Friday are we supposed to start? (I work and might not be available before noon).
    Thank you!
    Have a nice day
