After assessments of the trail, covering the 11 Point and Between the Rivers sections, sawyers are needed next week, along with volunteers to assist with swamping, as we tackle what we found. We will base out of the USFS Winona facility, where there is camping available in the yard, and very limited beds in the house (first come, first served). Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 procedures, food will not be able to be provided by OTA for volunteers. The facilities will include a kitchen, where individuals can cook their own food, and refrigerators. Volunteers can sign up for multiple days. Please include in the comments what days you will be available to make planning easier. Please know that some of the trail areas will be rugged and remote, so be prepared for strenuous work. Covid-19 procedures will be followed, including sanitizing, wearing masks, and social distancing while together. OTA USFS certified sawyers needing equipment, please email Terry Hawn at thawn@prodigy.net. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Terry or Kathie (kathie.brennan@ozarktrail.com). Volunteers may arrive on Monday afternoon and work days will be Tuesday through Friday.
