Come one, come all! Lets’ celebrate trails…especially the Ozark Trail and all it has to offer.

We will be heading to Current River SP to celebrate the OT as we gather for a weekend of outdoor activites including trail maintenance, hiking, floating and time around a big ole campfire under a star filled sky.  There is unlimited camping Friday and Saturday nights so bring a tent, camping gear, personal gear, food for meals not provided and of course a camp chair.

Details:  Volunteers can start arriving on Friday to set up.  The OTA will be providing the main course for dinner on Saturday night and asking volunteers to bring a side or dessert to compliment the meal.  We are looking at a communal breakfast on Sunday morning.  There is a full kitchen with a large refrigerator to share.  The OTA will provide coffee and fixings in the mornings.  If you don’t have a kayak or canoe, you can contact Carr’s Canoe Rental and speak with Stacy.

As the MO DNR State Parks go ahead with upgrades across the state park system, it maybe a while before we return to one of our most memorable places so be sure to join us….kathie
