Spring 2023 MEGA - CANCELED DUE to SEVERE WEATHER FORECAST

We’ll be working on the Courtois Section out of Bass River Resort in Steeleville, Mo.

We’ll be located in the Back Quiet camping area. When you come into Bass you will need to check in at the Bass front office to get your parking tag. Camping is provided for for you. If you bring a camper, RV or get a cabin you’ll be responsible for those fees.

You can begin arriving Friday afternoon and after you check in at Bass, there will be an OTA checkin on the upper porch at Bass until 9PM. You can also register at the OTA main canopy located at the camp site area on Saturday morning as well.

Saturday morning we’ll gather around the OTA truck to get the welcome and quick overview of the day’s work and activities.  We hope to be able to start building the new Harmon Springs TH spur trail pending USFS permission.

We are still observing covid precautions so if you have symptoms or have been in a medial facility or been around anyone who has had symptoms .. please do not come.

The OTA will provide our traditional Saturday meal and you will be responsible for all other meals including your Saturday lunch.

Please bring a light day pack to carry your lunch and personal items needed while working on the trail. You’ll need at least 2 liter of water/fluids. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots, long pants and long sleeve shirt. Be prepared for changeable weather and bring extra layers.

We’ll send out email 1 week prior to the event with more details.

Thank You for coming out and giving back to the OTA.
