DESCRIPTION:Oct 17-24\, 2025 — OT100 Endurance Run Prep \nWe’ll be out grooming the Ozark Trail from the Southern end of the Karkahgne Section to Bass River Resort \nfor the most outstanding long distance run in the Midwest. \nWe’ll meet up at the OTA office in Potosi to start. We will move to the Hwy DD TH as we work our way south. \nBring at least 2 liters of water and a lunch. Wear sturdy hiking shoes/boots\, long pants and weather appropriate shirts and/or jackets. \nThe weather is changeable so bring a rain jacket just in case. \nWe’ll be doing general trail maintenance ( leaf blowing\, weed eating\, lopping  and potentially chainsaw work . so if you are a sawyer feel free to bring your own..or the OTA can supply you with equipment. \n  \n

SUMMARY:The Ozarks 1-Eyed Dog 100/50 MTB Race
DESCRIPTION:The OTA needs YOU!  Support staff is needed from the OTA’s DD Aid station to water haulers to registration to time keepers and tear-down on Sunday.  The One-Eyed Dog 50/100 Mile mountain bike race on the Ozark Trail begins at Council Bluff Lake campground covering over 100m of some amazing single-track trail.  Sign up here to support this joint MTB race with the NOAH Foundation with proceeds being split between the two organizations to further each other’s mission. This is a unique loop endurance race on the Ozark Trail that you don’t want to miss volunteering at. \nFriday we will need help with registration that night and other support activities. \nSaturday September 28\, we will need volunteers for the OTA Aid Station at DD\, water haulers for Hazel Creek CG and Berryman CG\, 50m check-in volunteer at Hazel Creek CG and break down on Sunday after all is over. \nThis event is a major fund raiser for both the Ozark Trail Association and the NOAH Foundation as well as an exciting event to watch.  It is also a significant MTB event for the Ozark Trail because racers are coming from all over the country! \nWhen you sign up please indicate what times you are available and what task you would like to tackle. We need volunteers throughout the event to help make this fun-raiser a success.  Please comment in the sign-up where you would like to help.  Camping will be available at Council Bluff Lake CG for volunteers that weekend.  Please contact the OTA office.  See you there!!!

DESCRIPTION:Aid Stations volunteers needed for the OT100m Endurance Run\, 11/02/2019 \nHere is your chance to cheer on some of the most elite trail runners in the nation by volunteering for several of the aid stations for the OT100m Endurance Run that begins at Hwy P TH and ends at Bass River Resort.  OTA Volunteers are needed to help man several aid stations located along the run.  Please sign up with availability on Saturday at the following: ozarktrail100@aol.com \nVolunteers are also needed Thursday and Friday 10/21 and 11/1 to leaf blow the where the OT crosses the roads which makes a huge difference for the runners.  There also may be some sawing to do as well.  Volunteers will be based out of the OTA office in Potosi.  Some meals will be provided.   If you have volunteered before you know how much fun this is\, if you haven’t now is the time to see the fruits of your labors on the OT by watching these runners take on the OT.

DESCRIPTION:One of the most fun days on the Ozark Trail!! Mountain Bikers of all ages will \nbe riding the Council Bluff Loop and the surrounding Ozark Trail to test their cycling skills during the day and \nstory telling skills at the finish line cheering all of the participants as they come across the finish line in Council Bluff. \nThe OTA mans an Aid Station and can use some volunteers to come out later in the day on Saturday and help support the bikers \nas they come in for the home stretch. We man the station untl 11 pm so be prepared to tell stories by the campfire until the last biker is in. \nUse the message facility on this event to get more information as the event date gets closer.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 2nd OTA – 3 Legged Monster Race held out of  Ozark Outdoors and Bass River Resort in Steeleville Missouri on Highway 8. \nHike/Run\, Bike and Float your way to a fun filled weekend on all things Ozark Trail related. \nFind out why the Ozark Trail is a complete recreational destination across south central Missouri by participating in \nthis unique venue. You’ll enjoy a great Cookout hosted by he OTA on Saturday night after a day of adventure on the OT and river. \nWe’ll need volunteers to support the aid stations \n1 for the runners/hikers at the Huzzah Conservation parking area \n1 for the bikers  our near the Floyd Tower road crossing for the bikers \n1 for the Home base Bass River Resort Float transition area. \nWe’ll other event support at the start and finish lines as well as sweepers for all stages of the event. \nuse the messaging facility on this event to get more information. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Join us at Bass River Resort as we prep the OT for the 2nd Annual OTA 3 Legged Monster Race. \nwe’ll be OT each day grooming the OT  so the participants can have the best conditions possible for this fun event \nsponsored by the OTA. \nWe’ll need volunteers out to use leaf blowers\, weed eaters\, etc to get the trail ready. \nThe OTA will provide the equipment and refreshments — you bring weather appropriate work clothes \nand sturdy hiking shoes/boots and plenty of water .. at least 2 liters a day. \nWe are still observing some basic covid precautions : \nIf you have symptoms\, have been exposed to someone with symptoms or have been in a medical facility \nwhere you may have been exposed … PLEASE DO NOT COME OUT. \n  \nwatch for more information as the event gets closer \nor contact Terry Hawn via the event messaging facility for more info. \n  \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:One-Eyed Dog MTB Race Volunteers needed!
DESCRIPTION:Due to COVID-19\, several of the fund raisers have been cancelled or postponed that would have helped raise funds for helping cover the maintenance costs on the OT along with operational costs of the OTA.  Volunteers are needed to help with set up on Friday\, assist with the aid station and also at the finish line on Saturday as well as breaking down and clean-up after the event on Sunday. \nWe will have a group campsite for volunteers to disperse camp.  This event is a MAJOR fund raiser for the OTA and Team NOAH Foundation.  To make this a success\, WE need YOU!  Please comment when you will be able to volunteer for the event.  We can’t make it happen without YOU!!!!!

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a weekend of information and presentations from cooking to backpacking to anything outdoors including the Ozark Trail.  Presentations begin Friday night and will continue through Saturday and Sunday.  Saturday night will be a film festival so be sure to stick around for it!  The OTA will have an informational booth and we need volunteers to be a part of the weekend. \nTime are: Friday – 4:30 pm to 9 pm; Saturday – 9:45 am to 6 pm; Sunday – 12 pm to 5 pm.  Be sure to sign up on the website and let us know the days and times you are available to spread the word about the Ozark Trail.
