SUMMARY:First Day Hike of 2020
DESCRIPTION:What better way to kick off the New Year by joining the OTA down at Round Spring as we hike from the ONSR Round Spring facility to Echo Bluff SP.  This 3.5m section of trail was completed this past October and offers hikers as well as kayakers and canoeers a chance to combine one to three options of the Current River Challenge. \nParticipants will meet at Carr’s Store on Hwy 19 to begin their hike at 9 am.  Shuttling will be available when you make note with your signup.  Along with the First Day Hike is the First Day Float with the options of hiking 5 miles from Echo Bluff SP to Current River SP\, and floating down to Round Spring.  Be sure to join us as we ‘Kick Off’ 2020 in a grand way!

SUMMARY:Celebrating National Trails Day
DESCRIPTION:Come help us celebrate an amazing 17 years as the Ozark Trail Association. This will be a day to relax and share the newly opened\nCurrent River Spur Trail with family and friends. This is also a National Trails Day event  for Current River SP\, Echo Bluff SP and the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. \nActivities for the day will include maintenance on the trails\, hiking\, tours of the historic buildings at Current River SP and a chance to wander around the area. The OTA will offer a complimentary BBQ lunch. The park is planning a campfire in the evening. \nAgenda – NOTE:  Subject to change.\n8:30 am Hike on new trail built by the OTA\nParticipate in a self-shuttle float on the Current River.\n*Note in your sign-up if you want to float.\n10:30 am Guided tours of the grounds and historic buildings\n11:30 am Guided hike on Park Trails\n12:30 pm BBQ Lunch\n1:30 pm Enjoy the park on your own.\n5:00 pm Pot luck dinner at the lodge. Bring something to share!\nSunset Campfire provided by the Park
