SUMMARY:CLOSED - Spring MEGA - Heading to Council Bluff Lake
DESCRIPTION:NOTE:  We have reached capacity with the event.  Even though you may not have been able to sign up there are other events available for you to attend. \n  \nIt’s MEGA time!  Covid has kept us apart and inside way too long so plan to attend (with Covid procedures) our Spring MEGA to be held out of the Council Bluff Lake Wild Boar campground.  As the temperatures start to warm up\, so does our trail work.  We will be working the loop trail.  Basing out of the Wild Boar campground offers us with plenty of room to do dispersed tent camping or bring along your camping trailer as sites will be available on Friday and Saturday nights. \nWork will commence Saturday morning\, as we head to the work areas.  Lunch on the trail along with safety equipment and trail will be provided. \nAfter a good day on the trail\, we will begin the celebration with Jeff’s famous BBQ\, Kathie’s infamous raffle\, and MEGA good time around a bonfire.  If you’d like to contribute a desert that would be awesome. \nPlease remember to dress for the trail and be prepared for the weather. Gloves\, long pants and hiking/work boots are required\, as we are working on rough ground and using tools.  Wearing a hard hat is required in the work area.  Have rain gear\, snacks\, sunscreen\, and bug deterrent.  Bring plenty of water (2 litres per person recommended) and remember to bring supplies for your fur buddies.  NOTE:  Due to broken water lines due to earlier freezing temperatures\, bring plenty of water for each person in your group\, at least 5 gallons.  \nJoin us for this much needed break and getting back into nature with others who share the same love of the OT and it won’t happened without YOU\, our dedicated and passionate volunteers!  If you have any questions\, please contact me\, Terry Hawn at thawn@prodigy.net
